How do you create the silhouettes? TOP
Karl personally cuts each silhouette freehand using a pair of surgical scissors and simply looking at the subject's profile (either in person or a photo). This is the traditional way silhouettes have been done for centuries.
How long will it take to receive my silhouette? TOP
Each silhouette is an original work of art which Karl personally creates. Turn around time varies greatly depending on the time of year and the volume of his work load. Currently most silhouette orders (specifically bust portraits) will ship about 3-4 weeks from the time we receive your order and pictures. We do offer expedited shipping for an additional fee. Can I mail my pictures to you? TOP
Yes, if you are unable to email or upload your pictures electronically, you can still send them through the mail to us. You can either include a check as payment, pay via credit card online or call us toll free: 877-288-2787.

What are the silhouettes made of? TOP
Karl cuts all the silhouettes freehand out of archival quality acid free paper. Each silhouette is then mounted with acid free glue onto a vellum cardstock backing. Each original work of art is then signed and dated in pencil.
Are your silhouettes computer generated? TOP
NO! Each silhouette is a one of a kind, original work of art that is cut out entirely freehand. Karl simply looks at his subject either live or from a photograph and cuts out their exact likeness. This is the traditional method used by true silhouette artists for centuries.

Yes! Each original work of art is guaranteed to be an exact likeness of the subject.
